Which NAVMAN for a newbie?

Hi all,
I'm keen to get into this GPS lark, and have just spotted that DABS have just advertised a stack of satnavs at great prices. I'm only dipping my toe and dont do travel as a job, so it's just really family and holiday travel i'll use it for.
I like the idea of putting OS maps on to use for walking and stuff so that would be a good extra, also i want to put in the camera poi's. also it wuld be good to be able to use it to navigate cities on foot.

The two i was looking at were the NAVMAN PiN300 for £180 or the NAVMAN icn610 for £190 both great prices, but am i buying old technology that just doesnt cut it anymore?

if these two are pants then what else come up to muster?
garmin street pilot 3? navman 320?
I'm open to suggestions.

The PIN is a PDA/GPS unit which will allow your OS maps to work. The Map data is Teleatlas which is one of the major players in the mapping world. If you dont like the idea of Navman you could get a Mio 168 + tomtom 5 + memory-map OS mapping.
