How many POIs (or categories) can we install on the TomTom Go? Is there a limit?  |

yes, and it varies by build. somewhere between 27 and 39

Upto V5.1 had 40, after it was only 27.

| Many thanks for both of you guys. Can I then put as many POI as I would like as long as they are within the 27 categories (SD card permitting). The version I am using is 5.201. Cheers. |

I think there is a limit to the size of the category, but it's large. I seem to remember that Tim O'Donnell had a problem when consolidating postcodes last year.

It wasn't so much that it couldn't handle the size, only that it took so long to search through more than 300,000 entries. Under V4 it could take 20 secs. It speeded up under V5.

This is not the case if you use MakeOV2 to create the OV2 file. The number of items within a category is only limited by the available space on your storage device.
