Using Navman PIN 300 for hillwalking????

Is there any software/downloads that could enable me to use my Navman PIN 300 pocket PC for hillwalking purposes (ie like a Garmin eTrex etc)?

Hi,
I may be wrong, but believe that the Navman PIN 300 is essentially the same hardware as the Mitac Mio 168?
If so then there are a number of programs that can be used for hill walking etc.
I use Memory Map which displays OS maps at either 1:50000 or 1:25000 scale, with a position marker to show where you are now, and draws a track to mark your progress. This info can be transferred back to your PC.
Works very well, but main problem is battery life if you are planning long hikes. There are solutions to this, but I have had problems myself with regard to the reliability of the external battery connections.
