|
|
When planning a route with MN4.4 on a Mio 168, I am regularly getting Memory Allocation Errors occuring as it tries to show the map - sometimes just one, and the map appears when I click ok on the message box, sometimes lots of them in sequence, followed by a corrupted display and a need to do a soft reset.
Does anyone know what might be causing this (TomTom 5 works fine, so I don't think it's a hardware problem) |

When this happens click on the little Windows icon on the bottom left to display the titlebar on the top, from the start menu choose settings and go to the memory viewer. How much memory is available for programs and storage?
You may have to thin out some of the stuff you have stored in main memory to make room for the programs to run. Uninstall any unused applications, an d move any bulky data on the PDA to a storage card. |

That seems to have done the trick - I uninstalled a few games etc and it worked perfectly routing me to work today |

I spoke too soon - I had more memory allocation errors today, and I have plenty of space on the unit now |

I've now tried a hard reset and reload and it seems to be working again (fingers crossed) |
