Hi Guy's , I was told this is the best place to find the solution to my problem , so here goe's.
After reading the topic's in this forum to solve the problem on my xda of tt5n loosing / freezing up when recieving a phonecall , i bought a transcend 80x cf card , ( the topic was on sd card) hoping the faster speed of the card etc would solve the freeze-up . The problem i have now is that tt map's are copied ok to the card , but when i start tt the tt program freeze's , only a soft reset will unfreeze, I have tried 2 other make's of cf card and they both start-up and work fine but i am desperate to try my transcend to try and solve the first prob . Could anyone tell me why my all singing all dancing transcend card wont play ball ??? Could the card be faulty? or i've not loaded prog properley? Look forward to any reply's steve |

As a starter I would try re-formatting the SD card, then copy the data back on to it - Mike |

Is it an O2 unit if so have a look at there web site and check the OS ROM version you are using against the latest one, another trick to try is check if you are running the device in corporate mode or personal mode if its the later then you will have the O2 active interface on the desktop on the PDA, get rid of it by performing a hard reset and sit with the PDA when it loads the applications, at the end you can select Corporate mode (you only get around ten seconds or so - keep your eyes on it) then when prompted enter the code 0506 and the active interface won't be installed. - Mike |

OK back up the contacts as a seperate file as that is the ONLY thing you will be able to restore afterwards, DO NOT put any software back on to the PDA from backup as it will put the O2 rubish back on - the sooner O2 realise this and stop selling/ supplying these devices with rubish pre-loaded the better (hint hint) - its even the first thing their customer support sugest - so they know about the problem, it turn a quality device into a useless device IIi and IIs - Mike |
