Almanac and ephemeris download progress

Hi,

Is there a PDA application which shows the GPS receiver's progress of downloading the almanac and ephemeris data?

The Xemics chipset utility has an indicator if the Almanach is valid or not. But I am not aware of a similar utility from SiRF. Maybe SiRFDemo has it hidden somewhere.

And no, staring at the screen doesn't speed the process up...
