I've just recently bought a GNAV10 running Destinator OP 5.1.145. I selected the option to advise when breaking the speed limit but soon turned it off when I realised just how inaccurate it is on 40mph roads. I can be travelling at speeds below 40mph and constantly be warned that I am speeding. I tested it out and found that the warnings cease once I drop below 30mph which leads me to suspect that any road that is not a motorway is treated as 30mph.

Does anyone know if there is a patch or upgrade available which is based on accurate speed limits as I'd really like to use this feature but it is far too annoying to be constantly warned when travelling at a perfectly legal speed?

As far as I am aware the version you have is the highest I have seen for OP. There are no patches for it that I now of either. I am not too sure who would be responsible for providing them Destinator or Goodmans. I would have thought Destinator but others with PNA bundle software are told to seek upgrades from the Manufacturer of the unit.

Unfortunatley Destinator do not presently even mention D OP on their site. Try and contact Goodmans and Destinator with your complaint but don't hold your breath. They take forever to reply and when they do it is useless. But, I suppose if they are not told, how can they be expected to resolve the issues.

I have not used this function as it gets annoying but next time I'm out I will try it on 40 zone to see if I get the same.

Pete

FWIW its the same with Destinator ND as well. not sure if its as you suspect all roads are either 30 or 70 or if some 30 roads have been changed to 40 after Destinator got its data, but as already been said dont hold your breath for an up-grade or a reply.
