HELP its driving me nuts

Hi

Can anyone help ? I have just got a new NAVIGON (pna) MN 4. I would like

1 add speed camera detection
2 POI

Can anyone help and advise me where i might be able to download the software for my product and how to install it on device ?

Also is it possible to upgrade it to MN5 which works with Waner poi ?

Hope some one is able to advise me :-))

You can only use an add-on program called POI-Warner for Medion 4.xx GPS software, you can follow the guide on my web site by clicking the link at the bottom of my post, BUT NOTE, the link to POI-Warner may not be the correct one for your unit, have a look on their web site if you use the link to make sure you get the correct version after clicking the link, also note that the files for the Safety Cameras do not need converting as in the guide, this is because they are now provided in the file in the correct format for POI-Warner to use.

Have a look, you can download the guide further down the page and view it off-line in your own time.

Sorry, should have said Medion / Navigon GPS software, Medion is just a version of Navigon, both need to use POI-Warner, you may have thought that I had the wrong software as I only said Medion in the above post.

Many thanks for your post.....

BUT i'm still confused... (don't take much) I have downloaded POI WARNER and its talking me through all the selections (speed camera, hotels ) from the drop down list. I pick what i want to add and it downloads it i think OK..... BUT

When it takes me back to the main screen (poi Warner) there is a coloured bar at the top ? and underneeth it reads "MONITORING DEAVTIVATED" - and under that "Overlays 54 (green ticked) - POI Monitored 0 (red cross) - POI Visualized 15.195 (green ticked)

and then a big box under saying " START MONITORING"

But if i press that it takes me back to the Navigon Screen and nothing else happens ? Also i beleive when the systen is working there should be a GREEN light at the botton left hand side, which is not there ?

What am i doing wrong ?

On the POI-Warner utility, there is a menu that says POI-Manager, when you tap it there are 2 headings, Acoustic & Overlay Settings, they both need the files activating in each section, (and then each file has to be setup as required) both Acoustic and Overlay.

As to why you don't see the green box I am not sure, another point, I don't personally use the POI-warner Sync feature, but download any poi's that I require and add them the same as the Safety Camera ones, otherwise they just seem to overload the system with useless ones that hardly contain any locations, but that's just my choice.

I will have a crack at what you have said and see if that works. If i does not do you know of any other (SIMPLE) way of adding the camera detection and other POI ?

have tried this site but my lack of skill :-(( i was unable to do it...

Have you got an idiots guide ?

I'm using PNA (Transonic) Navigon mobile navigator 4

You could try SOFT RESET of your unit to see if that alters anything, if not then I just don't know.

On the POI-Warner menus, go to each of the menus apart from sync and make sure that each section is configured correctly, just one wrong and it may not work.

Every one of the different poi files has to be configured separately for them to be shown and give a warning, both visual (on map - icon) and sound.
