Hi All
Apologies first - I have looked through the treads and couldn't find the answer and secondly I don't really know what to call it
TTN 2.22 iPAQ H5450 Navman 3400 very small gripe - the little indicator that used to tell you (TTN1) how many sats you were locked on to doesn't work. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
It doesn't really affect the operation of the SatNav but it would be nice to know what was happening in the background.
Thanking you all
Lee

No!!!
My 5450 is currently with HP/Compaq and I am using one of their load units. Out of preference TTN2 went on the iPAQ not the Smartst.
I have, as requested on the TTN site used the 5450 "patch" from the Navman site.
So am I to assume this is my problem? A little bit of conspiracy from Navman making the TTN2 not function properly
Thanks for the reply Dave - anymore suggestions, for when I get my iPAQ back?

Ah, which patch was that ? The reason why I asked about SP1 is that this was a known issue when Navman brought out SP1, what would happen is it reprogrammed your receiver and removed some of the NMEA sentence information.
If you go to the status screen in TomTom Navigator do you seen any red vertical bars ? If you do, it's not the problem I'm thinking of. If you don't see it, then check this thread. You'll probably need to re-set the GPGSA and GPGSV settings on the receiver if you're not seeing any sat bars. |

Hi Dave
Sorry for the long delay for the reply. No the patch is simply for the NavMan Sleeve and the H5450. There is a HTML link on the TTN2 FAQ site.
No I am not getting any Red bars at all, just the dots between the sat and receiver.
How do you reset the GPGSA/V settings. Getting a bit in-depth for me
Thanks again Dave

You will need a program to reprogram your GPS device. For example WinFast Navigator. This will allow you to select which messages the GPS device should send. (This is only valid for the NMEA protocol as far as I know) Make sure you then use the same settings (NMEA , baud rate probably 4800) in TTN2 _________________ Lutz
