a quick one...

my basic ipaq 1710 as better coulours on tom tom maps than my more expensive ipaq 5450 any thoughts????

are you referring to the display technology or to the TomTom map color schemes?

sorry the map coulour screens..

the 1710 looks more coulourful eg .. the blue band along botom is a nice deep blue wereas on 5450 it looks a lot paler .also the ;roads; on map look paler

What location/ folder do the alternative CLR files need to be in for TTN5 to pick them up as options?

In the root directory of my PPC I have a folder called "schemes" it seems to pick them up from there. I didn't create that folder, when I had the free trial from TomTom I downloaded and installed a couple of extras that were free and it created the folder, but I assume creating the folder yourself and putting additional map colours in there would work. Hope that helps.

The SCHEMES folder can either be in the root of the PPC or in the root of the storage card.
