Bought a tomtom go for the wife today and it doesnt seem to work
We have programmed an adress in and it constantly searches for a signal and doesnt find one, we drove up onto the nearest large hill, drove near enough into manchester city centre and we live in the suberbs and still cant get a signal.
it just flashes up "waiting for valid GPS signal" i know the manual says it can take some time to find a signal but we waited for around an hour on each location |

Have you tried taking it out of the car where you can get a good view of the sky for a few minutes? |

You probably have a heat reflecting windscreen, and if so you will either have to get an external aerial, or relocate the TTG in the car.
First thing to try is to mount it next to the door pillar on the windscreen. You might get enough signal coming through the side window, and the edge of the windscreen. _________________ Richard

The first time can be quite a while. After a period of a couple of days it might take 5 minutes. Longer if you're moving in the car.
Stationary is best for initial startup. _________________ Richard
