I currently have a Navman 3000. I used to have TT5 on it, but it was rubbish, so reverted back to TT3. Yesterday it took roughtly 15/20 mins to get a fix, which is slightly slower than it used to be, but this morning took over 35 mins. I know the 3000 is an old model, so am I right in assuming that it takes this long on average??
What I was thinking of doing was, actually disabling my navman 3000, as in removing the drivers, as I would like to keep my ipaq in the sleeve as its a good protector, and also I have a windshield mount already, and just buy a bluetooth gps, so I can just connect via bluetooth and get a fix in less than 1 minute.
Can this be done, or would there be conflict between navman and bluetooth gps?
Can any of you recommend a suitable bluetooth gps unit which won't break the bank which is good and is compatible and works well with TT5.

Hey fella - a small flame!
If you are going to call something 'rubbush' please qualify your statement. (or did you mean to say that you didn't like it?)
In my experience TT5 is far removed from the 'rubbish' corner Sure it had a couple of hickups but 99.9% of the time it was wel behaved and did EXACTLY as I asked it to. It go me to my destination. TT5.1 fixed the minor irritation I had. _________________ Axim X50 & TT5, Arkon CM820 powered mount with built in sirf2 gps

it is rubbish on my navman 3000.... thats what i meant.. i want to get a bluetooth gps receiever so I can actually use tomtom 5 rather than 3. Im enquiring on what setup i would need for a 3870, its got bluetooth, checked it works... and i want peoples advise on this, but from experience on gps fixes TT5 is not good for me,....
