hello all noob here. I have just aquired 1 of these systems and was wondering if someone can give me some, well lots of help, i'm having problems trying to get an address in can only access certain letters of the alphabet and also can't seem to get any sattelites picked up, get a message no sattelite available, do i need to plug into car or something, as i say i've only just got this thing, thanks people.
You know you have to 'tap' the ABC 'button' once to get an A, twice to get a B and 3 times to get a C? The same for all the other buttons on the screen.
Sometimes you won't get any satellites until you drive off, so yes, plug it into your car, set the address, start navigation and if you don't get any satellites showing when you drive off, do a soft reset (unscrew the stylus top (the metal bit) and push the thin pointy end into the hole on the top of the unit for about 2 seconds. Do this with the unit 'on' and the unit will reset itself. Don't worry, you won't lose any data, it just resets the unit 'softly').
