|
Hi All
Has anyone out there tried the Spectec SDW-820 SDIO Wi-Fi card? I have seen a few good reviews, but I really need to know if it will work with WM2003 (1st edition). There seems to be conflicting info on this, with *some* retalliers stating it is only compatible with WM2003 2nd Ed.
In particular, I need to know if it will work on a Mio 168 - I've got wireless broadband at home and it would be great to get my PDA wireless enabled. Although I have BT's 802.11g, presumably it would 'downgrade' to the card's 802.11b
Would be a pain to buy it and find it doesn't work
Here's the product info:

Thanks!

Where from, eBay? Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know whether it works when you get it - my wife moans about me buying 'gadgets' as it is, never mind ones that don't work :o |

Yes, from eBay. Same person as your second link, merchantrun. He seems to have the same card at various prices and shipping. The one I bought was for £39.95 and only £4.50 shipping.
Hopefully there should be no problem with it working. |

I received my Spectec Wi-Fi card this morning.
Glad to say it works fine with no problems whatsoever. Tiny as well and much cheaper than anywhere in the UK. |

Hi mate
I just got my Spectec card, but am having real trouble getting it to connect to my WLAN. Any chance you could help me out with some settings?
Thanks |

All sorted - just had to change some settings on my router. Syncing & surfing at broadband speed with no problems :D |
