Faster SD Cards

At present i am using a 512 Viking SD card.
There are a growing number of faster cards around ie; 40% faster.

(1) Will these cards work on TTG 300.

(2) Are they really any faster & will I notice any difference.

(3) Does anybody have one of these cards in a camera and if so can you see the difference. ( I ask this as I have a Pentax Optio SLi 4 camera)
