Just got a Tomtom300 and downloaded Speedcamera database . Now I would like to change the "bleeps" to spoken words, my problem is I don't know how to access thedata.chk file. I have backed up my Tomtom onto my PC but when I open up the Tomtom folders I can't see any "root folder" I'm new to this as you can guess (but enjoying every moment) . Also tried to download my backup to CD, just in case the PC crashed ,but it wouldn't let me! Is it possible to copy the backup to CD? any help would be appreciated

The Root is the highest level on the SD card. It is the place where you can see a file called 'ttsystem'. Also there is the Map Folder, a 'Zip', TomTom-Cfg and 'itn' Folders. The data.chk file is there.

You will need CD burning software for that. Either in XP itself, or a third party program. In most cases it's just Drag and Drop.
