Im brand new to this site, and Im real chuffed with my 510. I have learnt so much just browsing this forum, but I have a question please! When I go through various menus on my 510, it states 'no maps loaded'. What is this function for if the maps I use are on the memory card? I am an Emeregency Response Driver for the Transplant Service, and have found this unit invaluable in getting to a patients home address when they are bleeped to come into hospital. Yes, Satnavs are in the ambulance cars, but they are so complicated compared to the 510.
Thanks for all the advice. |

I think i get what you mean here, but here is 2 possible answers...
1. The 510 will not allow you to load any map into, the unit itself, only onto a SD Card. So it will show that no maps are loaded.
2. You need to check to see that you have loaded the maps and saved your settings, one thing to remember is that if you have loaded on to a new SD Card, make sure that you have not Locked the card because any changes that you try will not take effect. I say this because i live in Scotland and crossed the border into England and just after we did, that maps vanished, so i set the maps to load up for England, or so i thought, the SD Card was locked and i could'nt think why it was'nt doing what i wanted.
Does this help? _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

The UK maps are on the card, pre loaded from the shop (Halfords). But when I go Settings>maps>internal memory, it states 'no maps loaded'. I dont get that.
If i remove the card and replace it, the maps reload, but still it states no maps loaded, but the unit works absolutely fine.
Am I missing something? Im not a 'natural' when it comes to techno stuff!
many thanks mate |

As a recent new user (we probably bought about the same time), I can say I've seen the same message, but think this relates to the internal memory (I think 32MB built in) and not the SD card, because you can check whats on the sd card (and select or deselect areas) through settings.
I too am delighted with the 510. |

Nothing. The internal memory is for running th SmartST application and processing the mapdata. _________________ Tim |
