Hello,

I have recently bought a Fuzion/Polstar PBT-111 bluetooth GPS to go with my Ipaq H4150. I do not have any navigation software yet other than a demo version of GPS Tuner.

I tried the unit last night and it seemed to work fine. I got a good fix and it tracked me as I ponced around my garden. Later, I tried again, and it does not work. It seems that the bluetooth connection drops after a while. That said, GPS Tuner can no longer connect to the GPS even when bluuetooth is active.

Has anyone experienced similar problems with these bits of kit?

A colleague tried to connect to the Fuzion with his H4150 with the same problem, i.e. loss of connection. He has tomtom running and some of the GPS tools could not get a fix.

TIA

Andrew Hirst

Hi Andrew

Try going into bluetooth manager, then holding down your stylus on the Polstar image it should give you the option to connect to SPP slave. Once that has connected it shouldnt drop the signal, took me ages to work out why every 5 minutes I was losing coverage. Now I connect to slave before activating my tomtom software and have no problems

Thanks for your comments.... I had tried all that, without success. I tried again the following day and it worked.... don't know why.

Andrew.
