Dear Pocket GPS peeps,
I posted this question on a different TTG forum and got a really unhelpful reply back. hopefully you guys can be a bit more constructive :-)
I have just bought a ttg 700 online, it will take about 3 days to arrive. I have a new mini and would like to mount the TTG in my car as per the photo below:
From the tomtom go website it looks like this mounting doesnt actually come supplied with the 700. Is this is case? if so, can you let me know what i need to buy in order to mount the TTG as in the picture above - if i need to buy extra stuff i want to do it now, rather than waiting for TTG to arrive first.
cheers!

Hi Meccleshall,
Could you tell us what the tomtom is hiding as i don't know layout of mini as i drive a c-max.would it be an air vent ? looking at picture it looks like the proper fitting for bottom of tomtom.
Have they stuck the mount suppiled with tomtom to the glass around the driving display |

Hi
Looks like you need a Vent mount. No it doesn't come with the GO - you'll get the window (sucker) mount.
The Brodit mentioned above is probably your best bet as TomTom don't seem to make one.
Hope this helps _________________ Thanks,

That's TomTom's Alternative Mount Kit, it should be mentioned in the accessories brochure that came with your 700.
However it's just a vent mount, you'd be better getting a Brodit GO Mount. _________________ Darren Griffin |

There are two types but I would reccomend this one. You'll need the Mini compatible proclip as well but it is a very nice solution. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Meccleshall,
AS you have the 700 and I guess you require the hands free facility, therefore there are 2 mounts available.
Brodit Mount------- 215027 approx £19.99 + P&P
Tom Tom Go Alternative mount bracket approx £7 + P&P
Guess which one I went for?
BTW The TT mount is also included in the Alternative mounting kit approx £13 +P&P
Hope this is of help to you

Actually, aside from TomTom's standard and alternative mount, Brodit have three:
215027
215038
215039
And I still rate Brodit as a better solution ;) _________________ Darren Griffin |

The 215038 does not support the Hands free
I dont think the windscreen mount on the 700 is compatable with the 215039.

I stand corrected, my sincere apologies, but you said it was crap anyway.
