On the Navigate -> POI screen, it shows you 5 icons and an ">".. The ">" obviously takes you to the list and the 5 icons, as I understand it are the "last used" databases

But they don't seem to work that way.. I have a number of the icons 'stuck' and they don't seem to change.

If you give them numbers from 1-5 (i.e

1 2 3
4 5 >

Number 5 seems to be the last one that was selected.

Numbers 1, 2 and 3 seem to be ones that I have used recently.. But I can't find the pattern.

But number 4, in my case is ALWAYS "McDonalds".

Is this a known 'bug'? Is there any way to work around it, or atleast in my case, get rid of the McDonalds icon?

Annoyingly, you would expect that they are all ones which are recently used, but as I said, number 5 is the 'last selected' database and then when you select another, that DB just vanishes, where as it should occupy one of the other positions!

I hope this makes sense!

Assuming that the McDonalds is a custom POI, temporarily remove it and restart. This should clear it from the POI screen. Then copy it back again so that it is available if needed.

I always get the impression that the Icons change position the more you use a particular one, goes up the pecking order so to speak, but it doesn't always do it.

I will try it.. But there is certainly something weird about this screen.

If we go back the numbering screen I gave before:

123
45>

In my case:

1 = Friends and Family (My own created POI)
2 = Petrol Stations (TomTom Standard POI)
3 = Restaurants (TomTom Standard POI)
4 = McDonalds (Downloaded POI)
5 = The last PIO I used

Lets say that I navigate to a 'Cash Dispenser'.

Now when i got to the PIO screen, 5 = Cash Dispenser.

Now lets say that I navigate to a different type of POI, I would expect 'Cash Dispenser' to occupy one of the spaces between 1-4.. But it doesn't.. 1-3 are stuck too.

If I understand you correctly, are you saying that the places are occupied by the commonly used icons, rather than 'last used'? (i.e say I have used Restaurant 5 times and Petrol Stations 6 etc), If so this might make sense, as I have used those 3 quite commonly.. But the McDonnalds one has NEVER been used!

I will delete it and see what happens.

I am sure that in TT4, the screen just showed the last used POI files!

My experience is that the screen works exactly like TT4.
