Hello
I have also posted this query in the checkpoint forum.
I've uninstalled checkpoint for tomtom 5, but there is still an icon left behind within TT5's main menu (page 4 - whereas before there were only 3 pages).
I've used regedit to remove any keys referring to checkpoint, and all I have managed to do is to change the icon's appearance. Can any0one tell me how to get rid of the "checkpoint" icon that is shown inside TT5, on the main menu pages please?
BTW:
the version of checkpoint installed was the most recent version, v5.0.1
TT5 is v5.100 |

Funny but I have been having trouble uninstalling checkpoint 5 as well. I thought I had finally got it sorted, but I have just noticed the same icon in TT5. Checkpoint does seem to integrate itself well into TT5. Ill watch this thread and hope someone has an idea. |

had the same on mine, the remnants of cp were(if i remember rightly) were either in the navigator folder, the tomtom folder or the tt folder in my documents on the root of the pda, check these folders guys cos i'm 99% sure it was in one of them, you'll know it when you see it just delete it from there |

You will find a folder on your PDA named SDKResistry with two checkpoint files
Checkpoint.bmp
Checkpoint.cap
Delete the two files and reboot the PDA and the CP icon should go from the TT menu.
To uninstall checkpoint in the first place you may have to first go into your 'today' options on the PDA and remove the checkpoint menu item on the today screen that loads on PDA powerup. Reboot the PDA and then uninstall. |

success! I found the files in tomtom\sdkfilecalls so I moved them elsewhere, and soft-reset to find the remnant icon had gone.
Thanks!
