Does anyone know where to find the user manual for version 3 ?

you can download a v3 manual - they call it an installation guide - from the viaMichelin website (http://www.shop.viamichelin.co.uk/csasp_showedito.asp?menuID=14) this only covers the PDA part. For the PC component it is no different to v2.5 (manual available from same location)

Thank you, but it's not much of a User Manual, is it ? They've significantly changed the release ( a major upgrade from 2.5 to 3.1 ) and that's the best they can do for a new User Manual ?

It's not complete, it's not released with the version 3 software, and then it's hidden under a different name on their site.

I was really quite happy with the product until it crashed completely while on holiday and I had to buy old-fashioned printed maps to continue. When I returned home, a re-installation resolved the problem, but that didn't help me while on holiday. I also had to work it out for myself. I now have 5 outstanding requests to "Technical Support", with no sign of any response for more than a week. Not even an automated response with a reference or ticket number for follow-up.

I thought the upgrade to version 3 would improve the stability of the product, but my confidence has fallen even further now that I find what a mess the release of version 3 has been.

And it didn't include the one feature which really needs to be added - way-points.

I'm afraid that Michelin appear to still be amateurs in the world of software development and especially support, even though their maps are excellent.
