Hi,
I am running TT3 Navigator on a O2 XDAII & currently use the hardwired TT GPS Receiver but just lately it's started to play up, not sure if some wires have been damaged as when not in use I put it in the glove box.

Anyway it's nearly my birthday so I thought I'd treat myself to a new GPS reciever, I have been reading some reviews on the GlobalSat BT-338 it appears to be one of the best at the minute.

Can anybody confirm this or recommend a different one. My budget is roughly £70 to £90.

Thanks.

Hi Floody,

I have a GlobalSat BT-338. When you compare it to my old Fortuna Clip-On, the BT-338 is phenomenal! I constantly get two or more satellites with the BT-338.

As far as price is concerned, you probably won’t get a BT-338 any cheaper than £110 – £120 from a UK shop. There are traders selling BT-338s on eBay for less but as always with eBay it’s "caveat emptor"!

Regards,

Do you find the BT-338 does the "position jumping" when you're stationary that's described in the review on the site, and did it have Static Navigation enabled or disabled when you got it?

No I haven't found that the position jumps, however I have only used the BT-338 with TTNav 3 & 5, which both have a "snap to road" function.
