Hi, sorry if this has been posted before but can anyone help me. I have a Medion md95900 with a 512mb SD card installed, when i add more than one set of maps to the card it will only read one of them using navigator either UK or France (Usually France as F is before U in the alphabet)) but not both when selecting the map. Both maps are on the card as i can access both maps seperatly if i alter the folder names (EG maps is changed to 1maps) then the device only reads the one with the correct name. Sorry if this sound confusing but not sure how else to decribe it.

Thanks
towny

Sorry I am confused!
Are you saying you cant access both maps at the same time?
You can only access one map at a time so is this what you mean?

Sorry about that i know i wasnt very clear. I can install both uk and France street maps on the memorycard when i try and access them (in navigator) all i can see is one set ofmaps usually France, if i modify the folder names then i can see the UK map. They will not apear in the map list togeth so i can not switch between them. I am not trying to use them together just cant see both sets of maps.
Thanks for a quick reply

Ok I think I get it now.

You have two maps on the SD card, France and the UK

When you try to change maps you only get one map showing e.g France as its further up the alphabet.

But if you change the the folder names of the maps them you can see them but cant gain access to them.

If I have this correct you have one folder with two foldwers inside it with the seprate maps in each folder.

Ok what you need to do is to make a seperate folder for each map and do not put them in the same main folder e.g It should look like this.

France folder has France map in and UK folder has UK map in.

With any luck this should solve the problem I hope! Confused

They are in 2 seperate folders, what i meant by changing the name is france has its own folder and UK has its own folder,
they both have a sub folder called maps which is the folder containing the data. Now it always only opens the France folder as F is before U in the alphabet so if i call the France map folder 1map navigator doesnt see it and looks at the UK map folder instead and i can get to the maps but i can not see both folders in navigator,
I have hard reset and soft reset i have reinstalled both maps (just in case) twice but it just wont see both maps in navigator so i am a bit stumped.

Hmmm strange Confused

It seems as though there are some SD cards that are not compatible, they seem mostly to be Kingston ones.

Which make of SD cards do you both have?

Have a look around on the forum to see about the incompatability problems.

I will see if I can figure out what your problem is anyway.

Regards

If you have been using a card reader then that may be the problem, for some reason depending on the make of card reader all the files transfer to the card OK, you can see them on your main PC but when the card is in the PDA it will not see them, copy the files that you cannot see from the card to a folder on your main PC, then this is the boring bit, now connect your PDA via ActiveSync and then copy and paste them to the storage card, that takes for ever I Know, but it usually works.
