Hi,
I have just received my Globalsat-BT-338 receiver in the post and would be really grateful for some help in getting it working with TTN3/H2210.
I am totally new to bluetooth gps receivers (currently using wired TomTom receiver with TTN3). I want to start using the BT-338 with TTN3 (I have TTN5 upgrade but prefer not to install it at present) and so would be grateful for a step by step guide to getting it working. I have just loaded the BT-338 CD onto my PC and installed "GPS Info" onto my HP2210 via Activesync. That's as far as I have got! Help gratefully received!
Cheers

Tried all the settings until finally hit upon the correct combination:-
NMEA 0183V2 38400
Bluetooth Serial Port COM8
Bingo it works! Getting 9 sats in my house! Just tried putting in a few dummy destinations and all looks spot on!
I seem to recall there being problems with BT and H2210 and TTN3 in the past and there being an uprade (3.07?) - I am running v3.03 415/408 and it seems ok - should I also be running 3.07?
Tom
P.S. This little device is amazing - best £88 I've spent in years! _________________ ___________

Bought it from ebay - from a Canadian company called Computer People in Edmonton Alberta. I paid £70 plus £15 postage plus £3 insurance. Took 4 days to arrive. I would certainly buy from them again - they are 100% kosher.
They have one on ebay at the moment ......

Thanks - nice to hear from someone who has dealt with them - was a bit worried about ordering from Canada in case I had to return it. Will go ahead and get one now.

Well to be honest I was a bit nervous about it myself! I noticed that nobody was bidding on their BT-338's and was suspecting there was something dodgy about them that everyone else knew about apart from myself! Upon reflection I think it was because people are nervous also. All I can say is that my reservations were unfounded - chances are you will also get it for £70 or thereabouts - a very respectable price even adding the 18 quid (a bit hefty!) for postage and insurance.
By the way you can ask for a uk plug adapter to be included (free), though I notice that a normal Ipaq charger will fit it also so no problems there. Good luck with it and prepare to be impressed!
