6010 woes

Hi all, need some help and advice, bought a rikaline 6010 receiver for an XDA and initially after lots of playing about with it and lots of reading on these forums I eventually got it working with Tom Tom 3.

However I've never been able to get any of the signal strength or the number of satellites showing in the gps status of tom tom. Just blank as if nothing there, but it does seem to be recording my position accurately however.

In tom tom 5 it only seems able to show anything except the utc time.

Is there anyway I can get fix it?

after more searching on these forums i loaded up winfast and am able to connect and am able to get the nmea strings, however i've noticed i'm only able to get the $GPLL string and no other, no matter how much i adjust the values.. I'm completely lost now in what else i can try.. any ideas?
