Just got my SysOnChip PlusII, and tried on my X50v.
There's a delay at about 3~4 sec between where I'm and where the GPS indicated I am. Causing me to miss 90% of the turn.
I'm wondering if other CF GPS is the same. I pick this one just because it receives highest review rating. It's 50% more expensive than others, but result is disappointed.
any idea? |

What program are you using?
Also, are you operating the device in XT mode? _________________ Lutz

I used Destinator3 and Mapopolis, both with similar result.
WHat's is XT mode? How to switch? |

XT is trying to improve the positioning accuracy, but does do so at the cost of lower performance, or lag. I am pretty sure the user guide that came with your device covers the topic extensively.
you should be able to change it to ST mode with the utility program that came with your receiver. _________________ Lutz

I just quickly look through the manual from online, I didn;t see anything about "XT mode" or "ST mode". Are you talking about switch between NMEA and SIRF mode?
The sat viewer program is the only thing comes with the product CD. There's nothing to switch modes. What utility do I need? |

this means your lag must have a different cause - I was wrong with my assumption. _________________ Lutz

HI
Has anyone found any resolution to this problem. I too have had a small amount of lag but not 4 seconds like that originally reported? Has changing the settings between sirf & Nmea made any difference?
Cheers
