|
|
Hi all - I am new to all of this, so please bear with me !
I have a toshiba e740 thats been sitting around for a while doing nothing, and i have decided to try and use it as an in car navigator.
First step was to buy a GPS receiver. I have bought a Leadtek 9531 from ebay - but am having issues installing it on the toshiba.
I have installed winfast via activesync (as per the pdf manual I have downloaed from leadtek - also downloaded the software from their site). However, everytime I plug the leadtek into the PDA, I get an error asking me to enter the name of the USB device, no drivers found etc etc.
What do I do here ? I cant get a connection to the GPS device from Winfast either - its just doesn't connect. An option for Com9 appears in the connection settings, but nothing happens if I select this.
Are there additional drivers that need to be installed in order for it to be seen (in the same way I might with XP, win2k) ??
I am connecting the leadtek via the sync port on the bottom of the pda.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks. |

Yep, I do have IR. I'll disable it and see how I get on. |
