Wired GPS Receiver

Ive been using a basic Ipaq 1710 for work purposes for the last 3 months.
Im about to upgrade to tomtom5.

The GPS receiver I use is wired and modelled as Acore AG-200

I work in some real dodgy areas and have to take the PDA, GPS Receiver and the power cord out of my van every bloody time i stop to do a job.

The PDA i use is not bluetooth so i know that there is a SD wireless GPS receiver available but do they have like any inbuilt memory ?

Basically im wondering what you would reccomend or should i just stick with wires ?

Another option would be to get a cheap bluetooth PDA. Anything is better than a 1710...

I know its only a 1710 but it does for what i need it for.

Curiosity.... what PDA would you reccomend then along with which receiver.............remember though ive already got something that might be a bit crap but just adout does the job so i dont want to spend big money
