some tosspot broke into my car and stole my bt gps reciever!!!

i'm using ttm5 UPGRADE on a spvc500, the reciever was the older ttm one not the newer one.

any ideas on what to replace the stolen reciever with???

should i get the newer ttm5 reciever or something like a bt338, any advice would be helpfull.

go for the fortuna slimline, just got mine and rate it 10/10. it uses the same chip set as the new tom tom unit.

thanks for the advice,

is the fortuna the best one i could buy???

i really would like a 20 channel version.

i've heard that bt recievers other than the original tomtom ones need to have some sort of software patch installed before they will work, is this true???

thanks.

no patch needed for mine, i'm using nokia 6600 but all i had to do was pair the two and select other gps device in tomtom gps settings

got mine from "global positioning systems"
