Can you do without GPS once used?

I have just got into GPS via TomTom and PDA, and I am vey impressed - as is everyone I have showed the kit off to!



Apart from a few trips around the UK, my main use is going to be for locating local addresses,and even if I am not travelling, then I find it amazing to have street, and house number detail on my PDA.



I think I can safely bin the copies of local A-Z's I keep in the car.



I liken this to when I got my first mobile phone years ago. I can not foresee ever being without a mobile phone nowadays, and I think it is going to be the same with GPS.



Is this common to everyone that has used GPS? Should I sell my shares in Street Atlas printers?

I have long since stopped carrying paper maps in my car as I am confident enough in my PPC GPS system's abilities. I agree that even when travelling a regular route it is great to have a map display showing you where you are, distance to go, ETA etc and even now I have found alternative routes that I would never otherwise have considered.

Only had TT2 and GPS for a week (its now gone T*TS UP), but worked great whilst I had it. Can't wait to get it back.
