|
|
I have a Dell Axim X30 624Mhz. I received my brand new TT5 BT yesterday and have been trying to install it ever since with no postive result.
The installation files came on a sd card. I firstly did a hard reset on my machine and followed the instructions.
The first bad thing happened was that the Dell froze.
I then hard reset my ppc and tried again. This time I managed to get to the activation screen. However the display seemed to have gone haywire with the images being blurred as it "bleeding" from the edges. I managed to exit the program and then try to go back into but could not. I was left with two TomTom icons. Neither of these would let me go into the program when pressed.
I then hard reset the my ppc and installed the program again but this time the language screen appeared, not in letters, but in number form.
I must have tried to install this at least 60 times without any success.
I have contacted TOMTOM yesterday and still waiting for a response.
Is there anyone out there who may have any ideas on whats going on?

I've seen the startup fail on a X30 as well. One thing you might be able to try is to temporarily remove the gx.dll (in the \windows folder) - this has reportedly helped on the Mio 268/269. That way TTN5 is forced to use the standard drawing methods, and not GAPI. _________________ Lutz
