I have TT5 installed on my new Palm LifeDrive, and it's running without serious hitches. There are 2 issues though:
1 When I try and connect to Traffic (on the trial) once I enter my username and password I get an error message "Serial Timeout - modem problem" (or words to that effect). I am using a BT338 GPS mouse and have a BT connection to a Sony Ericsson K750i, both of which work fine in their normal uses. Any ideas what is preventing connection to the phone for Traffic? (both devices support multiple simultaneous connections)?
2 Often I have to reset the device in order to get it to re-connect to the GPS mouse (on returning to TT5 after checking my diary, for instance). Again, anyone see this and know how to resolve?
Or do I wait for the first round of bug fixes???

Hi.
I was under the impression that Nav V5 was not compatable with the Life Drive. I seem to remember having read about this on a web site. That my be the problem.

According to TT, neither V5 nor the old version work at all on the LifeDrive. I already have 1,000 miles on V5 to prove them wrong, with no glitches in terms of directions, GPS lock or whatever. Still wish I could get Traffic, but maybe that will have to wait until the LD is officially supported (should be in time for V7.....) |

Good news that it works as well as it does.
Could it be that both the phone and GPS are trying to use the same outbound Com port?

That's very possible Raymond, more than likely I guess. Does anyone know how to configure the BT setup so that this doesn't occur (remember, this is good old Palm, no multitasking for us boys!!) |

I think you may have to contact PalmOne to see how many Blutooth connections the LifeDrive can handle simultaneously. It may be that it can only handle one at a time. ????!!!!
I have looked at the data sheet but its not much help.
Good Luck
