First of all you need to connect your PDA to your computer via activesync. If you don't know how to do that read your PDA manual.

(I'll assume you are using Windows XP and are at least somewhat familiar with it, if not then read the Windows manual or go on a computers for dummies course)

Download the pocketgps database and extract it to a directory of your choice.

Next, go to My Computer and navigate to the directory where you extracted the files.

Now you have several choices here depending on which cameras you want. Lets say you want the speed zoned ones. Double click speed zoned, double click gatso, double click ov2 bmp files. You should see a list of files.

Now, what you need to do is go to My Computer again (a second window) at the bottom you should see "Mobile Device", double click that, then you'll need to navigate to where you installed the TomTom maps, usually SD Card or CF Card, don't give up if you can't find it straight away just keep looking. Once you've found that there should be a map directory e.g. "Great Britain Navigator Map", go into there and you should see a list of files, don't worry about them.

Next go back to the original My Computer window you opened with the speed camera files, highlight them all (Edit, Select All) then copy them to the other window (Edit, Copy) then in the other window choose Edit, Paste. This should then copy the files across.

That's got your POI locations copied and the graphics files that go with them.

You asked about .wav files, .wav stands for "wave" and these are sound files, used to give you warnings about approaching hazards. If you want these then you need to copy them across to the map directory in the same way as you did with the camera files.

If TomTom is still running on your PC you must now exit the application (choose exit application from the menu, if you have TomTom3 just clicking the X will not do). Then restart TomTom and the POI's should appear. Then you have to set up warnings for them, but that's another topic.
