Hi all,
i had TT3 running on my Ipaq 4150 and Clip-on with no issues at all. Just upgraded to TT5 and it wont see my Clip-On! I paired the device with no issues, went into TOMTOM gps v3.07 and select com6 with 33840. It shows the Sat no problems. Soon as i startup TOMTOM5 is says no GPS device. Going into the GPS setting via TOMTOM5 select other Bluetooth device and com 6, it won't pick anything up. Then the connection between the Ipaq and clip-on drop's.
Tried a few things, installed an older version of TOMTOM Gps 2.06 and 2.07, still that didn't work. Problem is after installing the older version of TOMTOM gps, there is no com6 option anymore? Inside my Ipaq bluetooth setting the outgoing port is com 6 which i can't change.
Is it possible to change the com setting on the Ipaq to com 5?
Pair the devices, then start up TT5 and take the following steps...
Main Menu page 1 - "Change Preferences"
Preferences Menu page 4 - "Show GPS Status"
Choose Configure button
Scross to "Other Cable NMEA GPS", then Select
Set GPS Baud rate to 38400
Choose "Bluetooth Serial Port COM6:" - this is the last item in the list on my screen
Select the clip-on from the Bluetooth browser screen
This should then connect the two.
ps my clip-on is set to XT - not sure if this matters re the above
