Hi

I'm considering purchasing the Navman ICN510, I will also be installing the saftey camera software into the 510's POI, I am fairly confident that my pc skills will get me through this ok, just require a little info on updating this software. When updating do you delete the current csv file that's in the POI editor and then install the updated files from the server?

TIA Wink

Just reading some posts here and have thought of another question. Once the csv file has been loaded is that all you have to do, does the console do the rest or is there some fine tuning to do?

Thanks again

Dear Freebird

I don't think you will have any problems installing the safety camera database. It took me a while to get my head round what I needed to do but it then worked first attempt.

You don't need to delete the old csv files manually as it will ask you if you want to over-write them when you install the new ones (as long as you use the sme file names).

You don't need to 'fine tune' too much either, everything should work straight away, I just needed to manually adjust the distance at which the warning was sounded when approaching a camera. It needed extending a bit to give me time to ammend my driving before I hit the camera.

Good luck.

Hi Withome

Thanks for the reply.

All change though, I went out to purchase the Navman 510 but came home with the Tom Tom 300. :o

Have backed up the SD card and downloaded all the camers software and given it the road test, it picked up everything I threw at it so I'm very happy with my purchase.

Off to have a play with it now. :D

Freebird.
