Tomtom Trafiic/Other services with Vodafone 3G

Hi, has anyone got this working. I have a go 700 and a nokia 6630 on vodafone 3g contract. IT is VERY flakey as to whether it connects or not.
I have been looking at it and it is possible it only connects when the phone switches to gprs because the 3g signal is too week.

It does sign in sometimes so I know I have the account details right.

Any help appreciated.
