But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

TT5 Traffic appears to be working if you use the round icon in the top right hand corner.
But I'm not confident, sometimes the download is just a few seconds, which isn't long enough, also the icon turns orange, which indicates there is more upto date data available. The orange status seems very hit or mis it, if there is more upto data info available why not download it...I have tt5 set to download every 15 minutes.
Theres no way of seeing how many incidents have been downloaded, just how long since the last update.
If the traffic service doesnt improve, or provide better status info I will not be renewing. At least with TT3 I would know if it was working, I've got no idea or confidence with TT5

I posted a thread on this a week ago and got no replies. It still seems to me that it is not updating as it goes orange and on looking at the detail it says last update one hour ago or similar. Mine is set to update without restriction. I seem to have to do a manual update for further information.
It will only automatically update the first time whilst on a planned route.
It does seem far to quick.. I was wondering whether it checked the route first, then downloaded the rest of the traffic incidents on the maps as required or in an "offline" mode. I intend to experiment with this. I, for one, hate the new screens, there are far too small!
It may also be that I have converted to a 3G phone (on Orange). In addition it maybe that V5 also uses a new server and that so few people have converted over that we get quicker repsonses. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk)
