|
|
Hi there
I have asked a similar question before but this is driving me mad and Tom tom does not reply!!
I have also posted this subject with iPAQ and also no responses.
I have upgraded with TT5 ontop of TT3 successfully (I think) but when I come to install the maps it says I do not have sufficient space in my temporary folder.
I have since done a hard reset an not installed any other things I was using before except the ROM update and Symantec for Handhelds.
Can anyone please please advise me what I can do?
Is it possible to install the upgrade without having TT3 installed? Would this help?
Any advice would be most welcome. I really need GPS as I am a Sales Engineer and on the road 90% of the time. I may have to just go with TT3 if I can reload it OK.
I look forward to hearing from you helpful people out there. _________________ Best wishes

when i installed tomtom5 i did it on a clean install ,
i backed up my old tt3 and the sdcard to the hard drive of my pc ,
i then did a hard reset of my ipaq and formated my sdcard, then installed tt5 to my ipaq using the install cd.
the maps i copied to a folder on my pc and then used a card reader/writer to install them to my sdcard,
activated the tt5 threw the internet and so far apart from some small problems that have been disscussed on here i have had no problems.
dont forget to install an empty folder called tomtom on your sdcard to enable your 7 digdit post codes to work .
hope this is off some help _________________ _________________________

if you have a card reader stick the card in the sdcard slot open up my computer and find the drive that the sdcard is in , click on the drive and click format then follow the instructions it comes up with
ensure the sdcard is set to unlock first _________________ _________________________

Hi there
Thanks so much for your help but I do not have a card reader.
Is it OK just to delete all files from my PC or is there a way I can do it from my PDA?
I look forward to hearing from you. _________________ Best wishes
