position on road

on my 510 my actual postion on the road is quite a way forward from what is shown on my 510. Is there a way to speed up the update on the 510 so as to shown a position closer to where I am?

by the way it is brand new and have used Tom Tom in the past which gave a more acurate position

It's a lag caused by the update rate from the sat and I think all units suffer. Sometimes it seems worse than others.
I just pay more attention as the turn warning counts down and look ahead. I also have the screen so I can easily see it without looking away from the road and check the display with the road layout.
