TomTom in Canada

Hello all, Just got hold of a hp 5550 with tomtom Navigator v4.400 installed. I just wanted to know if this set up (which is so great), will just work in Canada with the correct maps.

I’m not sure what I need to purchase as there are so many us/usa product. Has any one done this and can you advise what I need to do.

TomTOm Navigator 2004 (what you have, basically) does already come with Canada maps. But you should upgrade to TTN5 when it comes out - the maps should be more detailed for Canada.

I seem to only have 4 cd's (they say TomTom Navigator Hp Edition) and they contain GB, German, Germany-Apls, Italy,Benelux and France??
Should there be more?. I brought this as a set, second hand.

I see. You have the European version. There''s an equivalent North american version called TomTom Navigator 2004. That one has the maps for Canada, too. It''s an 8 disc set.
