Anyone seen either of these problems? Crying or Very sad

1) I have succesfully connected to my GlobalSat BT-338 using the configuration: Other Cable NMEA GPS > Baud Rate 9600 > Com Port 5. After 20mins of operation in the car (with both iPAQ and BT-338 on seperate Car Power Leads) TomTom suddenly drops the GPS connection and will not reconnect. The only restart option is a soft reset.

2) With TomTom Navigator5 running, after 5mins operation the iPAQ external power light goes off. This happens with either Mains or Car power applied. selecting the "Settings > Power" display will turn the light back on. Returning to the TomTom Navigator display will turn the light off again after 5mins. This imples that the iPAQ is not recieving power and, more importantly, not being charged.

TomTom3 didn't have either of these problems

I have an iPAQ 3870 and a BT-338

Thanks, Jim

P.S. It seems there is some TT5 good news though...

It appears that TT5 no longer "siezes" the com port.

Therefore other apps (e.g. VisualGPSce) can connect to the com port without having to do any clever reconfiguration of TomTom (as documented in the excellent article "TomTom Navigator BT Installation for Smarties " (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-navigator-bt-dummy-guide.php).
