As a new owner of a Navman510 I have already come up against a problem that most of you will laugh at.
Yesterday I had to go on a journey so I used my favourites and entered my home address as start point, then I entered postcode and address of where I was going then once again entered my home address on the same trip for the return journey.
No problems at all getting to my first destination but when I tried to use my Navman to return home it wouldnt plot the route home just kept telling me to Uturn back to my original destination.
What am I doing wrong please?
Do I just enter the first destination then when I get there create a new trip
Do I need to enter my home favourits as start point or will it automatically plot the route from where I am.
How do I plot a return journey?
Thanks for putting up with this problem |

I "THINK" from what you explained there is that you did'nt quite reach your "Midway" destination. (possibly thats why its telling you to U turn)
If you park your car at your house and make that a "favourite", then finding home will be very easy from anywhere you are.
Sounds easy.
Then I Printed and studied the manual on the CD and now the navman does what I tell it to do all the time. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.
..............Route Type
Quickest.......Maximum Left.
Preference for Motorways & Freeways...More Often......Maximum Right.
Preference for Urban Roads

One word of warning.
If using the trip planner, don't use your current position as a start point (or destination 1) as the Navman will keep trying to send you back to it! Your route will start automatically from where you are if you have a satellite fix.
Also you MUST reach each destination or again the Navman will try to reroute you back to it. _________________ Ian.

If you don't reach a destination you can use the option "Skip Next Dest." in the Route Information menu. This will stop it trying to take you back there. |
