is this stupid ??? or is it just me ???

I have been using Tomtom for a while now and it works fine, but a friend of mine has got Tomtom5 and we think we have found a flaw ???

Today were were going in his car to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and we went to type in the address (or what we new of it) when after typing the letters LIVERP - it came up with some suggestions of Liverpool but it also had one in the list actually saying LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT.
BRILLIANT...... WE selected it thinking that it would put it in and off we go, but when we clicked NEXT, the STREET list then appeared ???? How the heck are we supposed to know what street it is on ???

I started scrolling down the list, but it was just the streets starting with the letter "A" and so on.

Are we missing something here???
As we got near to the airport, we actually started following the signs for it, but the Tomtom was going of into the distance missing the corner we had to turn at and also saying that we had 20 minutes to go ???

Is there anyway around this ??

If not, then what is the point of having a short cut in the list like that ???

In the street entry, start typing Liver - and you should see an entry for John Lennon Airport.

Don't ask me why, but it works.

Are you happy to leave it at that?

The street field should be exactly that, to enter a street not a city. In the case of the airport it should automatically enter the information as far as I am concerned as it should be a POI.

I would consider it a bug and report it.

It seems to be back compatible with the V4.xx method of getting to the centre of a city/town/village.

It can also be done as Navigate to .. a POI in City. Input Liverpool/Choose Airports. Nearest is John Lennon.
