Does anyone have experience of the effect of heat on the Tom Tom GO ( e.g. in a car window on a hot day)? I ask because I once left an Ipaq in the car (not in direct sun) and both the SD card and CF card which were in it had the data completely corrupted. Since the idea of the GO is to presumably leave it on the dashboard permanently, and it contains an SD card, could this be a problem? |

I used the GO in the windscreen for two or thee days last week in Germany. Temps were in the high 30's. The go is still OK.
But we did put my wife's sun hat around it on the last day because we couldn't read the screen ,,,,,,,,,,,, |

I won't worry about corrupting the data on your sdcard if you leave your ttgo on its mount in the car ,chances are when you get back to you car your go will be gone.................!!!!!!!!!
It only takes a second to remove from the mount. _________________ Ray

Not when you aren't in the car. It's a sure fire method of getting a broken window and a stolen GO. |
