I have SmartST V2 SP2 (North America version) running on a GPS3450. I would like to get the V3 maps for North America. Do I need to upgrade to SmartST V3 to get the maps? Can I just get the V3 maps and use them on my V2 system? |

No, the V3 maps won't work with the V2 software, but the V2 maps will work with V3. So yes, you do need to upgrade to V3 to get the new maps and I don't believe you can download them. _________________ Tim |

Is there a site where I can download the V3 S/W? Do I need to purchase an upgrade? |

No, the software and maps come as a complete package, not as separate items. You can order the V3 package from www.navmanusa.com for $299. _________________ Tim |

Woah, sorry. That should be $99.95! The European V3 maps are $299! The link is here. _________________ Tim |

I reported bugs with the MAPS in March 2005 (shortly after purchasing my GPS3450 package). It seems ridiculous that I need to purchase the next version (hopefully less buggy) to fix my reported problems.
Most S/W we buy for work gives us free upgrades for a period of time to cover this type of situation. |
