Garmin 2610 for £749?

I was going to buy a 2610 from a local retailer for £759 (marked as £100 off retail price!!) but the GPS Warehouse (www.gpsw.co.uk) are selling them for £549 inc VAT (£200 cheaper!!!) - I might go and just get a demo anyway as I've not seen one.

Can anyone comment on the Garmin units and compare them to the TomTom ones?

Nobody?!

Well, I went to test this unit and it was pretty good. Fairly quick to calculate a long route (though not blindingly so) but the maps were very accurate. The voice was VERY tinny coming from such a small speaker on the cigarette-lighter plug - and also we had to fiddle around to get the power to the unit in the first place.
