Hi, I bought a HP 6315 Ipaq. Its the best pda by far. I then bought a Globalsat BT-338 bluetooth reciever. I can pair the two devices sucessfully but when I go to use my Tom Tom it doest work. The gps s/w doest recognise the settings. I've tried all the com ports etc. I've also unticked the beam in Syetm\Properties.

What settings should I use? any ideas where I go from here? The bluettoth device is definitely connected and it works.

Any response would be grateful

Thanks

It works perfectly with the standard settings. COM7 on NMEA 38400. Don't forget to connect to the SPP service of the receiver first.

Start >Programs > iPAQ Wireless > BluetoothManager

tap and hold the "BTGPS etc" device, then tap "Connect"

Start >Settings > System > GPS > GPS

Top dropdown: NMEA Standard 38400
second dropdown: Bluetooth serial COM7:

Check the tickbox

go to the status tab and see if the black dots are running.

At the bottom of the status tab is the GPS driver version.

Hi,

I have paired the blutooth. This is connected and showing
BT - GPS-303EEC and also BT-GPS COM Port.

When I go to gps\gps. I select NMEA 0183V2 38400. The drop down box is showing Bluetooth Serial Port Com 4 and not COM 7.

Version is V3.00 402/400.

Still not working, any ideas?
