BT-338 startup warning

I just warn you that BT-338 has a very long startup !! More than 5 minutes Sad

After that, it will be fine.

I hate to start this device (in the morning).

I tried to cold start ... turn off / on ... no luck.

Mine usually starts up in around 20 seconds, and is a massive improvement over the 10 minutes or so for my previous Rikaline 6030. Maybe you have problems with your PDA's Bluetooth connection and/or your software client. I use mine with an iPaq H2210 and CoPilot. Do you leave it under a heat-resistant windscreen, because that can block the GPS signal.

Perhaps you have a poor reception area....by my outside window or outside it takes about 50s, a couple of foot away by a PC and it takes 10mins.
Hooking it up to a PC by bluetooth with the appropriate software you can see what satellites it can lock, and they do vary quite considerably depending where you position the GPS
