Sorry to ask this again but my computer had a major crash a few weeks ago and I lost all my previous e-mails.

How can I convert a TomTom ov2 or ascii file to Autoroute .axa format??

Which version do you have? I have V3.05 which certainly does save to and from .axe format but on Oldie's website is V3.11 which you can download from here.

Do you have POIEdit installed on your PC? This made mine list all .csv files as Destinator ascii files!

I must be going potty!!!!

I downloaded the lates file 3.11 and it still will not save an ascii or ov2 to autoroute .axe file format. It still converts only to destinator.ascii when I choose autoroute .csv

Help.

Ah, that's not a problem! You can import .csv files into Autoroute using the Import Data Wizard in the Data menu. You can then save the file as an .axe in Autoroute.

Tim

That worked thanks, but what I wanted to do was send an axe file to a friend. Where would autoroute store the file and can I jut copy it to send.

The .axe file will save where you told it to be saved! Just open Autoroute and click "Save as" and make a note of where the file is going to be saved to. That's where your other one will be.

Also, emailing an .axe file isn't a problem. I used to do it all the time when a friend and I were planning motorbike trips. The only thing to consider is that whatever you send will only open in a version of the same or later vintage. The same goes for your friend sending you .axe files. Of course, you can always convert them from .axe to .csv and reimport them if you have different versions.
